Could we just call this a "password history"? i.e. show all older passwords with an option to delete ones that accidentally get entered.

Great idea. I do this manually by moving the old password to the "Comments" field.

A drop-down menu displaying password history and allowing single click changing back to an old password would be a good way to implement this idea.

One usually use a handful of similar asswords and rotates when changing to new passwords. Being able to look at the last good password makes it easier to remember the new changes.

Like this idea as I sometimes get asked for old passwords or other old information when logging into various sites.
