While it is a real good idea to enter the password via a pattern you need to change two things:

The pattern is highlighted in a way that it is visible from miles away. This is severely endangering security. The pattern should either be without any highlighted color or in light grey.

The pattern is visible too long. It should directly disappear when having entered it.

I would prefer another option: Password protection via entering a pattern AND via entering a password - both together. Advantage: The pattern can not be seen by an attack from the internet wheras it is easy to steal the password. The password can not be seen by a person passing by, whereas the pattern can be seen.
