The app needs to open up much faster. it takes too long to sync everytime it is opened.

I have SplashID cloud version (latest as of today) and it is woefully slow. Is there something I can do to speed it up, e.g., a local copy instead of cloud?

Yes, I often need to look up a card PIN when using the ATM and the slow opening of SplashID on my iPhone sometime leads to my card being returned before I had a chance to put my PIN in, which makes those queuing behind me to use the ATM a bit unhappy.

I agree, also if I input search field, android mobile app crash !

SplashID is too slow to initiate touchID with IOS. Its implementation is also still buggy in that it hangs sometimes as it tries to do something without touchID being available and then just crashes. I use TouchID on about 5 other apps and they are dramatically faster and don't crash at all.

I have no problem with the opening speed.

I agree! Slow specially on PC where for me it take 30-40 seconds before I can input the password. Also 10 sec is too much. It must be istantaneus, like other programs...

In older versions of the Mac app, you used to be able to begin typing your password to unlock immediately after opening the app. In recent versions, there is a long (perhaps 5 second) pause before you can type your password. If you type too soon, the first few characters are missed. Please increase the priority at application launch of receiving and displaying the password entry keystrokes.

I wonder what happened in the development. Back in Version 3 from which I jump in 2014, this was indeed a big disappointment. Version 3 was fast. Did the app get too complex, get too many features? Can options be added to get flex choices and flex speed?

I agree. The program is too slow to open on the iOS and PC. Then the "Search" button also takes time to initialize.

I agree. I was going to create my own item about opening faster. I also think it should know whether or not you are using the cloud storage and if you aren't using it skip the cloud sync operation. I've assumed that is why it opens slow and I don't even store any files in the cloud.

Also, while syncing, there is no feedback that it is actually doing anything.

I agree. I open/re-open the app many many more times than I require a synch. At least show the records immediately and synch in the background

Agreed. I presume SplashID decrypts everything as it opens, which takes a significant time. (I have 200 records in the database.) Improvements here would be very welcome. Perhaps it could decrypt the card titles only, or something like that ... (I have the WiFi Sync version, so it can't be that it is trying to find the data because it's all on my laptop hard drive ... and it's a very beefy laptop!)

Yup, the slow launch on my Win7 workstation-class laptop is my biggest gripe. I think even Photoshop launches faster, or at least it gives you immediate life signs and continuing activity indication, whereas Splash Data just disappears for a long time.

Should cache data to make it faster opening. Then refresh changes.

Agreed - too slow on start up - PC and Android. So much so I use LastPass for general logins etc and now just use SplashID as a backup system. I have the latest version.

I'm wondering if you guys with problems actually have the latest version installed. I had that problem a version or two back but since installing the latest update my sync is so fast it literally happens in a blink of an eye.

I have the same problem when opening on my windows laptop (core i7, LOTS memory), but on windows desktop (older, 'slower') it loads practically immediately. Same os, win 7, but very different performance. go figure.

Agreed. Slow on Android, slow on ipad, slow on pc. Slow enough to wonder who provides a better product.
