Yes, if you accidentally tap the generate button while viewing a record, your existing password is instantly replaced by a new generated one. Very scary situation. You have now lost your password and it is not recoverable. Not a good situation and it violates why you have this password manager so they are safe.

The generate function should not be on the view screen. It needs to be on the edit screen. And, you should be able to generate a new password and then be given the option to replace the old one with the new.

Furthermore, since a lost password is not recoverable, the old password should be moved to the notes field for saving.

Suggest that you have the password generation function fill a separate cell and when the customer is comfortable with the password, transfer it to the PW of record before saving.

and when I click in the note area for editing on the desktop seemingly random amounts of the note are selected when the expectation is that the cursor be placed where I click with nothing being selected
