Password generating options available when generating passwords
When generating passwords allow customising the settings for that password, as was in the old version. Now, if I need a password with special requirements, such as a maximum length, I have to go to settings, change the global setting, generate my new password, then go back to settings to change it back to my preferred defaults. The old way was much better for me.

I absolutely agree that being able to exclude similar looking characters is a must. I generated a password for our wifi router using this app a number of years ago. I was verbally telling the password to my son for his new phone. After entering it numerous times, he could still not authenticate with the router. It wasn't until I looked at the password on the router's configuration page that I saw I was telling him to enter a lower-case L rather than an upper-case I. This would not have occurred if those characters could be removed from the password generator output.

Agree with this request and it doesn't make sense for me that the password generator is under security settings.
I also think that a less ambiguous font should be used. It's hard to tell between characters and sometimes between upper and lower case.
In addition, it would be great to customize the password generator with the following:
Exclude similar characters ( e.g. i, l, 1, L, o, 0, O )
Exclude ambiguous characters ( { } [ ] ( ) / \ ' " ` ~ , ; : . < > ) -

Absolutely agree - this was a great loss from v7 to v8.

For the password generator, I need to choose what special characters to allow or not use. Most sites cannot handle at least 1 of the charactrrs if the password is long.

If I could, I'd allocate all my votes to restoring this single feature.

This feature alone has forced me to stick with SplashID v7 instead of migrating to the latest release. This functionality is critical for maximizing security with each password. Instead of choosing the lowest common denominator centrally (e.g., 8 characters with only alpha-numeric options), I would prefer to specify my password requirements for each password that's generated. Why this changed is beyond me as I found the previous method to be intuitive, seamless and simply the most logical approach...
