I absolutely agree that being able to exclude similar looking characters is a must. I generated a password for our wifi router using this app a number of years ago. I was verbally telling the password to my son for his new phone. After entering it numerous times, he could still not authenticate with the router. It wasn't until I looked at the password on the router's configuration page that I saw I was telling him to enter a lower-case L rather than an upper-case I. This would not have occurred if those characters could be removed from the password generator output.
